The current appointed Mandated Negotiator for Ngati Paoa is:

• Harry Paora Williams.

Pursuant to the Deed of Mandate, the individual Mandated Negotiators are explicitly required to report to the Trust Board and are ultimately answerable and accountable to the Trust Board.

If there is any concern regarding the conduct of the individual Mandated Negotiators, the Trust Board has the power and responsibility to act in the interest of the iwi of Ngati Paoa by holding the Mandated Negotiators to account, which may include removing or replacing Mandated Negotiators where appropriate, and to ensure the best interests of Ngati Paoa in all settlement negotiations and representation.
